- LiDAR for Target Topography
- 50 m Range
MULTIPLE LASERS
Single beam lasers measure the vibration over an area by sequentially moving the beam from point to point. This takes too long. The Ommatidia system puts out up to 128 laser beams to measure all 128 points simultaneously. The points are arranged in a column. To cover an area, the line of beams is indexed horizontally automatically covering an area much faster than a scanning single beam laser.
For long and slender targets such as undersides of bridges, tall buildings, and towers, the phase between all 128 points are synchronized because of the simultaneous acquisition.
LiDAR
The multiple lasers can also be switched to LiDAR mode measuring the distance between the target and laser head. This results in a topographical map of the target surface which can help in visualizing operating deflection shapes.
